Prayers at an Exhibition: Bhutan’s Art and the Monks Who Protect It

Two monks will perform daily rituals at the Rubin Museum of Art to safeguard the works in the exhibition “The Dragon’s Gift: The Sacred Arts of Bhutan.”

Wow. I can almost relate the the vastness of America from 1979 when I first got here. Wait until these guys go inside of a Super Walmart like we did two weeks ago. I cannot believe how !#$%^&* large the place is. Good old days...

One of my div school friends from Botswana had the same experience. We took her to Super Kmart, and she fell in love with the place. From that point forward, she insisted that it was the ONLY place to purchase anything.
