Ah, Civilization!

After 8 months, I'm back in the developed world, marveling over the cleanliness and orderliness of Tokyo. Restrooms are clean and stocked with toilet paper! Beds are cushioned and pillows are soft. Cars stop for pedestrians. Traffic moves on only one side of the road. No one honks. No one pushes. Drinks have ice. Hot and cold tap water are plentiful and drinkable. Even raw fish - especially raw fish! - is safe to eat.



What a change from the green and craggy mountains of Bhutan, or the rolling hills of south India.



After squatting over a hole in the ground for some months, I now have more options on my toilet than on the dashboard of my car!
